Weekend Sales: Black Friday Vs. Cyber Monday

This weekend comes two crazy sale days: “Black Friday” (27/11/15) followed by “Cyber Monday” (30/11/15). These events make huge sales Online and also in “Brick and Mortar” (offline) shops.

Black Friday” is the day following thanksgiving day in the US. It signify the start of the Christmas Shopping Season, it is considered one of busiest shopping days of the year spending more than 50 Billion dollars.

Cyber Monday” is the monday after thanksgiving holiday in the US. The deals are “online only” offers. This tradition started on 2005 by companies like and has become internationally popular by many online retailers.

However other companies like for example REI announced it will close it’s stores on thanksgiving and give their employees a day off to travel in Nature (see #OptOutside)
